Infrastructure

August 1, 2022

The house was suppose to list on 7/31, but we are delayed a bit which theoretically should give us another week on the infrastructure on the land. Ha! Not really, we are still working through a few small details, like my closet…. We had to put the hardwood floor down that’s in the rest of the house because we avoided that 6 years ago. Let’s just say it’s a bit overfilled. Such an understatement! Poor Jen had to help me purge the first round of things, and I got an “A” for fully stuffing Greg’s Pilot with clothing and shoes being donated. In fact, a “Center Grove Mom” who was at the donation center donating herself saw the shoes and asked Greg what size they were. Being the good husband that he is, he knows my shoe size. The lady asked if she could take a look and ended up taking the entire bag…it was a pretty good size bag….think yard debris trash bag. She literally dumped them all in her trunk. It was probably at least 50 pairs of shoes. I was proud to have purged so much. I also purged about 50 cardigans too but wasn’t too successful at purging the purses. I do feel a bit naked without all my stuff and feeling a need for some shopping. But I’m pretty sure Jen and Greg would never let the items into the house. Plus with the onset of RV living, I probably shouldn’t gather more stuff.

I got sidetracked on the closet and lost focus on the intended topic of this post….infrastructure. We are waiting on soil tests from the septic and water which should come back next week, so maybe we will have water and a place to connect the plumbing so I’m not sh**ing in a bucket. I am very concerned about that. My friend Mary recently posted this picture from a camping trip. She’s much more of a go with the flow kinda gal than me (no pun intended).

Let’s hope this infrastructure starts moving.
